Day 51: Isotopes and the Carbon Cycle

Last week we learned about ions: atoms with differing numbers of protons and electrons. Today’s objective was to learn more about isotopes: atoms with differing numbers of protons and neutrons. After defining them, we then labeled a diagram of the Carbon Cycle. With this information, students were armed with the knowledge to complete a the Isotopes of Pennies Pre-Lab write-up for tomorrow’s Isotopes lab.
Homework: Complete the isotopes pre-lab before class tomorrow.
