Day 35: The Periodic Table
By Mr. G on Oct 4, 2007 in Chemistry, Featured
After correcting yesterday’s “Decoding the Periodic Table” worksheet together in class, students dissected a reading all about the History of the Periodic Table. The reading was adapted from the wikipedia entry on the periodic table. Students then worked to find the years of 13 important events that helped bring about the currrent periodic table that we use today. Those events were then placed in order from 1 to 13 on the Periodic Table Timeline Activity page.
Reminder: No school tomorrow (Staff Professional Development Day)
Homework: Complete the year/order list of events for the History of the Periodic Table for Monday (Don’t do Part II - constructing the timeline - we’ll do that together next week).
